Barcelona’s Nightmare by Idriss El Mahdali

No one imagined Milan to play
the way It did against The Dream team of our times Barcelona Fc, Italian young
players however changed our view towards all Italiansteams, They did it and win
with a 2-0 win and It was no surprise for Milan fans, but it was a nightmare
for all Barcelona’s. "A
2-0 defeat is a hard blow for us," said FC Barcelona captain Carles Puyol,
but while he and Daniel Alves hailed AC Milan's display they are far from
giving up the last-16 tie. FC Barcelona captain Carles Puyol
admitted the 2-0 defeat at AC Milan in the first leg of their UEFA Champions
League round of 16 tie was a "hard blow" for him and his team, but he
said of the return: "It will be like a final for us."
Team-mate Daniel Alves was not surprised by Milan's performance yet remains
confident the Azulgrana can progress.
On The other side, Milan players
considered this win a fruitful reward of a wide range of factors. the defensive
style by which Italian teams are known, they closed all paths towards Abbiati,
Milan’s goalkeeper, even center forward, second striker and wing forward
players played among defensive line and they let Barcelona to take action, yet
whenever Barcelona fails to reach the goalkeeper there was a chance for Milan
to counter attack. Two goals is the reward of a collective effort against
Barcelona. Besides, Sansiro was like a soup of energy, a real source of
zeal for Milan team players. In short, all factors were in Milan Ac side
undoubtedly.
Milan Ac proved really that Great Teams
fall but never die, and for me It changed my view towards Football in general,
a Dream Team is still a team liable to err and lose some matches, that is no Team is perfect. Still, the last
word is for the 2nd Leg match which will take place in Barcelona’s
New camp Stadium on 12 March 2013, at 19:45 pm GMT.
